The short version: I'm giving Regen-X 6 out of 10. It's the first shop in this series that gives no dose, cycle or injection instructions anywhere: when the subject comes up, its posts refuse plainly. Its trial numbers hold up, including the latest retatrutide phase 3 result, and 18 of its 19 linked papers are the right ones. But the home page says “Each batch is independently tested” and the site publishes no lab report for any of its 21 products. And the blog tells readers retatrutide shouldn't be used outside a clinical trial, then links straight to Regen-X's retatrutide vials.
What I looked at: regenx.co.za, all 12 blog posts, all 21 product pages, the shop, about, contact, FAQ, the four policies and the site's media library. All on 15 October 2026. I also checked that Regen-X has no link to us. It doesn't.
The score, broken down
| What I marked | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Is it clear? | 2 / 2 | Plain language, headed sections, FAQs and short “Important” boxes. Against it: two posts still show leftover writing notes (“Suggested internal links:”), and one disclaimer names the wrong compound. Close to a 1. |
| Is it useful? | 1 / 2 | The semaglutide, retatrutide and KLOW posts genuinely help you understand trial evidence and its limits. But half the blog is benefit lists with no real sources, and the GLP-1 guides speak to patients while linking to research vials. |
| Are the facts right? | 1 / 2 | Every trial and label figure I checked holds. But two posts call GLP-1s, semaglutide and tirzepatide included, “research compounds”, when both are approved medicines. A patient guide lists injection sites the medicine labels don't. A testing lab's own marketing blog is presented as “Independent analysis”. |
| Does it show the evidence? | 1 / 2 | 18 of 19 linked papers and records are the right ones, the best ratio in the series. But 4 posts cite nothing specific, only search pages or a textbook, and a third of all links go to Wikipedia. No author is named. |
| Is it honest about downsides? | 1 / 2 | The newer posts state limits well. But SAHPRA's peptide warning appears in none of 12 posts, though it names 6 of Regen-X's products. The thyroid boxed warning is in 1 of 5 GLP-1 posts. WADA is missing from the ipamorelin post. |
| Total | 6 / 10 | Careful about doses, careless about proof. |
The supplier checks
| Check | Result | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Lab reports | Red | No lab report, lab name, batch number or verify link on any of 21 products, and none among the 73 files in the site's media library. The site still says “Each batch is independently tested” and “Certificates of Analysis are available for each product”. It fails its own five-point purity checklist. |
| Claims & dosing | Amber | No doses, cycles or reconstitution amounts anywhere, and a research-use line on every product. That's why this isn't red: dosing content drove every red so far. Against it: a five-star review on the retatrutide page describing personal weight loss, a KLOW listing selling “synergistic healing, recovery, and anti-aging benefits”, “Proven” in 10 product page titles, and a “Weight Loss Research” collection. |
| Basics | Amber | A company name and registration number on every page, a phone number, a 14-day return window, and shipping, terms and privacy pages. Missing: a street address, a VAT number, an information officer, an age limit, any research-use clause in the terms, and any mention of the 7-day cooling-off right. |
What they got right
No dosing, anywhere. Not one of 12 posts or 21 product pages gives a human dose, cycle or mixing amount. Where it comes up, the answer is a plain no: “Retatrutide does not have an approved prescribing dose because it remains investigational.” No other shop in this series has managed that.
Trial numbers that hold. The retatrutide guide reports “average weight reductions of up to 28.3% at 80 weeks” from the TRIUMPH-1 phase 3 trial, which matches Lilly's May 2026 release. The phase 2 figures match the published trial, including the heart-rate rise. The semaglutide post's STEP 1 and SELECT figures match too, and it carries the full list of label warnings.
The newer posts say the inconvenient thing. Retatrutide “should not be used outside an authorised clinical trial”. The KLOW blend “should not be described as clinically proven” synergy. Research-use products “are not approved for self-administration”. WADA status is right where it's mentioned.
A company you can identify. “Reg No 2025/979492/07” is on every page, which most shops in this series don't manage.
What dragged it down
“Independently tested”, with nothing to show. The home page says “Each batch is independently tested to verify quality and consistency”, and the purity post says “Certificates of Analysis are available for each product, with HPLC purity and mass spectrometry confirmation.” The same post sets a good standard: results should link to “a specific production run, not a product line”. I found no report on any product page or anywhere in the site's media library. The FAQ falls back to “Where available, documentation is provided on the product page or on request”.
Warns against buying it, then links to it. The retatrutide guide says it “should not be used outside an authorised clinical trial” and that “Consumers should be cautious of websites and social-media accounts claiming to sell approved reta for personal use.” Lilly, which the post cites, says retatrutide sold to consumers outside its trials is illegal. The post ends with links to Regen-X's own retatrutide vials. The semaglutide post tells readers to see a professional “rather than purchasing or using an unverified product”, then links to Regen-X's semaglutide.
Human use on a “not for human consumption” page. The retatrutide product page says “This product is not for human consumption.” and publishes a five-star review: “I've lost 9kgs in 3 months and intend to keep going!” The KLOW listing sells “synergistic healing, recovery, and anti-aging benefits”, which Regen-X's own KLOW post says it shouldn't claim. The GLP-1 guides speak to patients (“If you have been prescribed Tirzepatide”) and link to research vials.
SAHPRA's warning, missing. SAHPRA's May 2026 notice names BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, ipamorelin, Selank and Semax among illegally marketed peptides, and Regen-X sells all six. It also warns that powder GLP-1s “are not registered”, and Regen-X sells powder semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide. None of its 12 posts or 21 product pages mentions either.
Facts that don't hold up.
| What they say | What I found |
|---|---|
| “Glp1s are research compounds and are not approved in many jurisdictions” (R16) | Semaglutide and tirzepatide are approved medicines (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound). Only some GLP-1s, like retatrutide, are still investigational. |
| Injection sites in the GLP-1 guide include the glute | The Wegovy and Mounjaro labels list the abdomen, thigh or upper arm. |
| The tirzepatide guide's “Who should not use” list | Leaves out the label's boxed thyroid warning and its main contraindication (a history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2). |
| “Independent analysis” found 73% of samples off on purity (R05) | The figure comes from a testing lab's own marketing blog about samples customers chose to send in, not an independent study. |
| An NCBI “overview” of how peptide research is done (R31) | The link opens a general biology textbook. |
| Retatrutide is “meaningfully ahead” of semaglutide and tirzepatide (R29) | A comparison across different trials, which Regen-X's own later post warns against. |
Sloppy publishing. The GHK-Cu post publishes its own writing brief, “Strengthen your site's topical authority by linking this article to related content” (R20), and its disclaimer is about ipamorelin (R21). One product page lists “Compound: Tirzepatide 30mg” on a 10 mg vial (R32), and glutathione appears as both 1500 mg and 15000 mg (R33).
What would get them a better grade
- Publish a lab report for each product, tied to a batch, or remove “each batch is independently tested” until they can.
- Stop linking “don't buy this outside a trial” posts to their own vials, and take down the weight-loss review.
- Fix the “Glp1s are research compounds” line, the injection sites and the missing boxed warning.
- Tell readers what SAHPRA says about the peptides they sell.
- Drop “Proven” from product titles and the KLOW healing claims.
The hardest part, no dosing, is already done. Proof is what's missing.
Their side
Regen-X can reply any time through this form. If they do, I'll add it here word for word.
Spotted something I got wrong? Tell me. I fix facts fast and say what changed. I don't change a grade because someone complains, only when I've got a fact wrong or the supplier changes what they publish.
