What it actually is

TB-500 is a lab-made piece of Thymosin Beta-4 (TB4), a naturally-occurring protein found in nearly all cells. TB4 plays a role in building new blood vessels, cell migration and wound closure.

Where BPC-157 is often used near a specific injury, TB-500 is described as more systemic — spreading widely and acting body-wide, which is why the two are so often combined.

What the research says

Most data is pre-clinical and animal-based, with strong interest from veterinary (notably equine) medicine. Human trials are limited; much of the human use is anecdotal.

Reality check: TB-500 is banned in most competitive sport (WADA) and is a research chemical, not an approved human medicine. Long-term safety data in humans is lacking.

Mixing it (reconstitution)

Injection & handling

SubQ (some IM near an injury), 2–2.5 mg — loading twice weekly for ~4 weeks, then weekly. The long half-life means infrequent dosing. Don’t blast BAC water onto the powder; refrigerate reconstituted, use within ~28 days.

Different mechanisms: TB-500 is systemic and dosed weekly; BPC-157 is often local and dosed daily. Many run both.
Why weekly dosing?
Its long half-life means it stays active for days, so frequent injections aren’t needed.
Is it allowed in sport?
No — it’s on the WADA prohibited list.
The honest summary: TB-500 pairs naturally with BPC-157 and has a solid animal/veterinary track record, but human clinical evidence is thin and it’s prohibited in sport. Interesting, not proven.
